175th anniversary of Zhambyl Zhabayev

An open lesson dedicated to 175^th anniversary of great Kazakh poet Zhambyl Zhabayev was hel today at the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography. The thematic event for 6^th grade students was organized by the teacher of the Kazakh language and literature Mergul Zhumakulova.

During the lesson pupils discussed the life and oeuvre of Zhambyl, his talent and the subjects of love to the Motherland through the prism of poems of the writer. Participants of the event watched the film about Zhambyl and read some of the most outstanding works of the author.

The great poet of Kazakh people Zhambyl Zhabayev was born on the 28^th of February. From the childhood he played dombra and participated to the aitys which made him popular already at the age of 16-17 years old.  He made a great contribution to the development of Kazakh literature and dedicated his life to promotion of eternal universal human values such as kindness, justice, patriotism. Zhambyl Zhabayev’s masterpiece works have been translated into many languages of the world.
