The student of the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography stared in the Sultan Beibars ballet

In December the Astana ballet theatre presented the new performance Sultan Beibars. The choreographic novelty of the spectacle, modern technologies and national motives, which can be traced with a thin thread throughout the entire storyline, were met with love among the sophisticated metropolitan spectators, who highly appreciated the skill of the artists.

The ballet Sultan Beibars reports about the life of the most favourite leader of Mamluks, the sultan of Egypt and Syria. The performance in the language of choreography and music describes the childhood of the future leader, the time spent in slavery, his formation as a warrior and long-awaited fame, which never brought him peace of mind.

The exceptional pride of the teachers of the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography is that the main part of Sultan Beibars himself was brilliantly embodied on the stage by a graduate of the Academy’s college school, and now a second-year student of the choreography faculty Aidan Kalzhan.

«It’s already the second season of Aidan Kalzhan at Astana Ballet theatre. Despite not so long period of time he has danced a number of significant parts in the spectacles from the repertoire of the theatre. And the star role in Sultan Beibars is absolutely fantastic achievement for the young actor. He harmoniously joined the role, which was undoubtedly facilitated by skill and talent, without which it would be impossible to convey the history of the great sultan in the language of dance. In addition, he is well built, his physical shape, courageous face visually fit this party. We are always happy and proud of such victories and achievements of our students and graduates”, – proudly shared the head of the Direction department of the Faculty of choreography of the Academy Murat Tukeev.

The professionalism of the young artist Aidan Kalzhan is also evidenced by the fact that he was entrusted with performing Sultan Beibars in front of the country’s top officials.
