Academy students took all the prizes at an international ballet competition in Zagreb

Students of the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography Torgyn Leben, Ademi Zhanabyl and Daria Mitrofanova took all the prizes at the International Ballet Competition held in Zagreb, the capital of Croatia.

Contestants from Croatia, Canada, Japan, USA, France, Austria, Hungary, Poland and other countries competed for the victory. The competition took place in two categories, the participants from Kazakhstan, performed in the junior category (under 19 years).

At the end of the competition Torgyn Leben got a gold medal, Ademi Zhanabyl – a silver medal, and Darya Mitrofanova – a bronze medal.

“Our today’s winners are the youngest on competition, they are only 13-14 years old, it is their first trip to competition, which at once brought such results, – noted the teacher of winners, the head of school-college of vocational training of the Academy Svetlana Kokshinova. – The jury of the competition highly appreciated the technique of performance, noted the beauty and purity of lines, praised the work of teachers – children are prepared at a very high level.
