Academy students took part in a winter charity ball

The choreographer-director of the Winter Ball was Yevgeny Moiseyev, a senior lecturer at the Academy.

In Astana, the Winter Charity Ball, annually organized by the corporate foundation “Bolashak” took place. This year, students of the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography were among the ball’s debutants.

Winter Ball is a ball with a meaning, even when selecting the debutants, during the casting huge attention is paid to those who have experience in volunteer activities. A total of 30 pairs of debutants were selected this year, who delighted the guests of the ball with bright performances. For several months the young people of different professions had been diligently training with Evgeny Moiseyev, the choreographer-director of Winter Charity Ball and the senior lecturer of Kazakh National Academy of Choreography, a member of the Dance Sport Federation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Traditionally, the ball consists of performances of the debutants after which the participants dance a waltz.

Annual Winter Charity Ball has a 10-year history. Every year, the event is organized to raise public awareness of the problems of quality education for children with special needs and support for talented young people. The essence of the ball is not only the performance of debutants, but also the programs which are implemented by “Bolashak” fund on the funds raised during the ball.

At the last charity ball was collected more than 80 million tenge. The proceeds will be used for the social projects “Every Child Deserves a School” and “Travel Grants”.
