Bharatanatyam – a master class in Indian dance was held at the academy

On February 20, the Academy of Choreography hosted a master class in elite Indian classical dance Bharatanatyam by Akmaral Kaynazarova.

Akmaral Kaynazarova is an honored worker of Kazakhstan, Master of Arts, world champion in 2003 in the category of ethnic dance (Hollywood, USA).

During the master class Akmaral Kaynazarova demonstrated to the students of the Academy the basic elements of the dance technique: the positions of feet, the basic positions of feet and hands, variants of pirouettes, complex movements – adava. Students also learned some hand gestures, their meanings and examples of their use in the dance.

Master class from Akmaral really liked the students, giving not only knowledge, but also bright emotions.
