“Choreographic Art of Kazakhstan: Traditions and Modernity” – book presentation held at the Academy

On January 27 the presentation of the book “Choreographic Art of Kazakhstan: Traditions and Modernity” took place in the library of Kazakh National Academy of Choreography. The book represents a collective monography, its authors are professors and teachers of the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography and other creative universities: A. Kulbekova, T. Izim, G. Saitova, G. Dzhumaseitova, L. Zhuykova, A. Sadykova, A. Alisheva, K. Aitkaliyeva, A. Kusanova, S. Bakirova, A. Murzagulova, E. Zhumadyarova, B. Turgunbayeva, A. Samarbayeva, G. Usina and D. Batyrkhanov.

The book was prepared at the research laboratory of Kazakh dance of the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography. The book was presented by the head of the laboratory Honored Artist of the Kazakh SSR, Professor Toigan Izim.

The book covers the issues of development of ballet art, creative activity of the leading dance companies of the republic, formation of choreographic pedagogy and professional choreographic education in Kazakhstan.
