Instruction on the implementation of distance educational technologies for students of the Academy
Dear students of the Academy!
In connection with the decision of the State Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the order No. 108 of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan from March 14, 2020 “On strengthening measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection COVID-19 in educational institutions, organizations of orphans and children left without parental care in pandemic period” since March 16, 2020 all full-time students are taught using distance learning technologies (DET).
To access lecture and methodological materials, online lectures the students must ensure an Internet connection, a webcam and headphones.
The work in Platonus
- All teaching materials of the disciplines such as syllabuses, lecture materials, presentations, assignments will be available to you using authorized access through the Platonus system (http://93.185.74.130/).
2. Entrance to the student’s personal account is carried out using your username and password, where you can find your study materials, a general chat with the teacher, you can also see an announcement on the subjects studied and links to online lectures.
Work in the ZOOM program:
- The teachers of our Academy will organize online lectures using the ZOOM platform that you need to download from the link (https://zoom.us/download).
- To access the conference you will need to pre-register (full name and surname).
- Dial the conference identifier that teachers will send you: “https://ruc-su.zoom.us/j/***********” (there will be the conference number instead of asterisks), or through managers in the form “Conference number + password”.
- You can find video instructions on how to use the ZOOM program at the following links on YouTube (Computer – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZLXf2m4tWRM; Mobile device – https://www.youtube.com/watch ? v = QRudlunDP2k).
- The conference identifier will be transmitted to you through the announcements in the chat of your personal account in the Platonus system and simultaneously duplicated in WhatsApp groups. If you do not know the conference identifier, you must contact the teacher, group tutor and contact your dean’s office. When connecting to the conference you must mute the microphones.
General rules of training using distance educational technologies for all learning institutions:
- Attendance of classes is strictly fixed by teachers, deans of the corresponding faculties according to your presence in the personal account in Platonus and in online lectures.
- It is required to participate in lessons through Platonus or Zoom according to the schedule.
- To fulfill the tasks in time.
- Observe ethical standards of behavior, appearance and speech during online classes! Stay indoors during classes and it is not allowed to attract outliers to classes.
- If necessary, contact the curator or the Call-center of the Academy.
The user must have a positive account balance to visit these resources. Information about the beginning of the provision of free access to educational resources will be posted on the websites of telecom operators.
