International contest of choreographers held at the Academy

The Kazakh National Academy of Choreography hosted an international competition for young choreographers dedicated to the memory of the outstanding Kazakh choreographer Bulat Gazizovich Ayukhanov.

The international contest was held among creative universities of Kazakhstan in the group of educational programs B028-Choreography and foreign universities-partners of the Academy.
This year the competition was held in two formats: online and mixed (online and offline) in which participants could show their talents in any dance style and genre. Two formats (online and offline) helped attract more participants, interesting experts and speakers from different countries and regions of China, Israel, Azerbaijan, Russia, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.
Choreographic performances were evaluated by competent jury which consisted of Yelena Sherstneva, tutor of “Astana Opera”, Ronen Izhaki, dean of faculty of Movement of Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance, Denis Mochalov, Honored Artist of Russia, Gulnara Adamova, President of “Association of Sports Dance Federations of the Republic of Kazakhstan”. Kabdulla Bayzhanov.

The prize of the Rector of the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography of the Cavalier of the Order “Kurmet”, Honoured figure of the Republic of Kazakhstan, candidate of pedagogical sciences, professor Nussipzhanova Bibigul Nurgalieyvna was awarded to Shakibek Nuray Adilbekyzy, student of the International Kazakh-Turkish University named after Khoja Ahmed Yasavi.

The prize of the Honored worker of Kazakhstan, chief ballet master of “Astana Ballet” Theatre, the winner of the National award Umay-2022 in a nomination “Best choreographer” Abubakhrieva Mukaram Saydakimovna was awarded to Juliana Vorobyeva, student of Kazakh National Pedagogical University named after Abay.
