Online lecture on “Contemporary dances of Japan today”

The Kazakh National Academy of Choreography together with the Embassy of Japan in the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Agency for Cultural Affairs of the Government of Japan is organizing an online lecture on March 10 at 17.00 (Nur-Sultan time) with the aim of exchanging information on the current state of contemporary dance in Japan and Kazakhstan.

Professor KITAMURA Akiko, Japanese Culture Ambassador, will give a lecture on “Contemporary Dances of Japan Today.

Assel Abakaeva, Master of Arts, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Pedagogy of the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography, will deliver a report on “The situation of contemporary choreography in the educational activities of the Academy of Choreography and “Astana Ballet” Theatre.

The online event will be concluded by Anvara Sadykova, Candidate of Arts, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Pedagogy of the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography with a report on “Formation and ways of development of the Kazakh dance”.

A consistent Russian-Japanese translation will be provided.
