Online training “Methodology for evaluating plagiarism in StrikePlagiarism.com system”

The online training “Methodology for evaluating plagiarism in the StrikePlagiarism.com anti-plagiarism system” which took place on April 17, 2020 at 15:00 on the ZOOM platform became the final event of the IV Week of Science of Students and Undergraduates of the Academy of Choreography.

The executive director of Plagiat.pl (Warsaw, Poland) Ali Tahmazov in his address to the training participants emphasized the importance of conducting activities aimed at improving the culture of distance learning, the culture of using programs that ensure the observance of a certain etiquette of users and authors of works, especially during the state of emergency, connected to the spread of COVID-19.

As part of the online training, issues of the methodology for evaluating the level of plagiarism were considered, participants got acquainted in more detail with the technical capabilities of the StrikePlagiarism.com anti-plagiarism system, and the interpretation of reports and verification protocols.

The training gave opportunity to the lecturers of Academy to ask questions and get comprehensive answers. We hope that supervisors will transmit information to students involved in scientific activities and this will improve the quality of indicators for checking texts on plagiarism.

From the entire teaching staff of the Academy, we express our gratitude to the Plagiat.pl company, which made a proposal to provide 50% bonus checks to the current agreement with the Academy and became the initiator of the training. We look forward to further mutually beneficial cooperation in the field of increasing the level of academic honesty.
