“Samgau” – students of the Academy of Choreography gave a concert in Karaganda

Students of the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography performed at the Palace of Students of E.A. Buketov Karaganda State University with a concert program “Samgau”. The concert was organized by the Faculty of Choreography and the Faculty of Arts of the Academy in support of the upcoming elections of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

To attention of Karaganda citizens were submitted fragments of ballet performances of classical heritage, some Kazakh dances, Mongolian, Tatar, Uyghur, Uzbek dances and also contemporaries and numbers of sport ballroom dances. At the same time, the students of the Academy, 1st-4th years, performed their own compositions, as well as dances, choreographed by teachers of the Academy and by famous choreographers. Majority of the students performed on stage were winners of national and international contests and festivals.

For example, “Palestinian Dance” from Adolphe Adam’s ballet “Le Corsair” was performed on the stage, as well as works by students: “Kitsune” by Shamshyrak Segizbayeva and “Choice” by Mukhtarkhan Bolatkhan. The staging of “Galatea” by 4th year student Madi Amanbayev was presented to the audience by 2nd year students Dias Isayev and Yekaterina Zhitkovets.

The 1st year students performed “Sylkyma” by famous choreographer Dauren Abirov. In addition, viewers could enjoy the performances of teachers of the Academy – “Akku” by Anvara Sadykova, “Tokym kagar” by Anvara Sadykova and Almat Shamshiyev and many others. The concert ended with “Vienna Waltz” choreographed by Evgeny Moiseyev, a teacher of the Academy.
