Students of the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography took second place in World Folk Vision-2020

Students of the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography took 2nd place at the global festival of national cultures “World Folk Vision-2020”. The victory was awarded to the representatives of Kazakhstan by the results of the popular vote and by the decision of the International Professional Jury to select the winners from among the finalists. Pupils of the Academy presented the composition “Akkular” in the direction “Dances of the Nations of the World” at the competition.

A total of 3,950 creative groups and individual performers from 115 countries took part in the festival. During the international competitive selection, 100 participants from 60 countries were able to get to the final of the world competition. This award entitles the participants of the World Folk Vision World Cultural Initiative to become regular guests of cultural events in different countries of the world.

World Folk Vision-2020 is a large-scale international humanitarian project that unites amateurs and professionals of culture, art and sports. This year the festival is being held in honor of the 20th anniversary of the UN Global Compact and as part of the implementation of the Global Cultural Initiative. The festival is one of the largest world events, this year the event was held online for the first time due to the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic.
