The young artists of the Kazakh national academy of choreography performed on the stage Kazakh State Academic Theater of opera and ballet named after Abay

The pupils of the Kazakh national academy of choreography presented a concert program in Almaty. Talented and gifted children from all corners of our vast country made a statement on the stage of the State Academic Theater of opera and ballet named after Abay. The event is dedicated to the 175th anniversary of the great Kazakh poet and educator Abai Kunanbayuly and was supported by the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Kazakh national academy of choreography under the direction of People’s Artist of Russia, laureate of the State Prize of the Russian Federation Altynay Asylmuratova presented to the sophisticated and demanding audience of Almaty choreographic recognized fragments of world classical ballet and modern performances of Kazakh and foreign choreographers.

Academy Students performed such plays as a fragment from the ballet “Don Quixote”, Sabre Dance from the ballet “Gayane”,  trio from the ballet “The Fairy Doll”, the variation from the ballet “Le Corsaire”, “Sleeping Beauty”, “Coppelia” and more .

The concert in Almaty in the first days of spring festival has become an annual tradition. This event is very important for the development and promotion of choreographic art in Kazakhstan.
