In the modern world, students constantly feel a lack of time to complete their tasks. It is believed that they can adapt to such conditions if they plan correctly and spend their strength, time, and resources. However, it is not uncommon for students to postpone some of their tasks “for later.” At the same time, they can do small things, but not do what is really important. As a result, the execution of these significant tasks is constantly postponed, and they are performed either at the last moment or not at all. This phenomenon is called procrastination.

Procrastination has several components, the most important of which are the fact that the case is being postponed and that there are deadlines. They are related. Procrastination is always followed by negative consequences, it is always associated with negative emotions and experiences, such as: anxiety, guilt, etc. The phenomenon of procrastination contradicts the requirements of modern society, which makes special demands on productivity, self-dependence and responsibility of the individual. This led to the conduct of this training.

At the training, students learned what is the difference between procrastination and ordinary laziness, the classification of the reasons for procrastination, and what consequences it can lead to. Also, students were given recommendations for overcoming the state of procrastination, consisting of 8 steps.

The training was attended by students from 1 to 4 courses of college of vocational education, faculties of choreography and arts. Students actively participated in the discussion of the reasons for procrastination, answered questions. At the end of the training, they gave feedback to the psychologist.
