With a victory from Cyprus

From 28 to 3 July 2019 in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus in the city of Iskele, the XXIV International Folk Dance Festival was held, in which, along with participants from Argentina, Chile, Northern Macedonia, Turkey, Northern Cyprus, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan, our pupil Akkanat Smagulova and as a guest teacher of national dance Sadykova Anvara Aripovna.

The festival was held under the motto “Peace. Friendship. Love”. The main mission of the event was the unification of peoples, familiarity with dance culture and the development of international relations.

For five days Akkanat performed the national repertoire from the plays “Takamaly”, “Ak-Kerbez”, “Yerke Bala” by the teacher of the Academy Almat Shamshiyev, as well as from the performances “Bylyyldak” and “Ayzhan Yyz” Shary Zhienkulova and became the owner of the cup “Best dancer of the XXIV International Festival of Folk Dance “.

We sincerely congratulate Akkanat and our teachers of the Academy Almat Shamshiyev and Sadykova Anvara Aripovna on the victory and wish them continued success.
