On March 28, 2023 the Academy hosted an international competition of young choreographers dedicated to the memory of the outstanding Kazakhstani ballet master Bulat Ayukhanov.
The international competition was held among creative universities of Kazakhstan in the group of educational programs B028-Choreography and foreign universities-partners of the Academy. The competition was held in two formats: online and mixed (online and offline), in which the participants were able to demonstrate their talent in various dance styles and genres. The two formats of the competition allowed attracting a large number of participants, experts and speakers from China, Israel, Azerbaijan, Russia, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.
Choreographic performances were evaluated by an experienced jury, which included Elena Sherstneva, a teacher-tutor of the "Astana Opera" TRB, Ronen Izhaki, Dean of the Movement Faculty of the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance, Denis Mochalov, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation, Gulnara Adamova, Honored Artist of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Gulnara Adamova, President of the Association of Sports Dance Federations of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kabdulla Baizhanov, President of the Association of Sports Dance Federations of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and others Kabdulla Baizhanov.

The prize of the Rector of the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography, Knight of the Order "Kurmet", Honored Worker of the Republic of Kazakhstan, candidate of pedagogical sciences, professor Nusipzhanova Bibigul Nurgalievna Bibigul Nurgalievna was awarded to the student of the International Kazakh-Turkish University named after Khodja Ahmed Yasavi Shakibek Nurai Nurai Әdilbekkyzyzy.
The prize of the Honored Worker of Kazakhstan, chief choreographer of Astana Ballet Theatre, winner of the National Award Umai-2022 in the nomination "The Best Choreographer" Abubakhrieva Mukaram Saydakimovna Abubakhrieva received the student of Kazakh National Pedagogical University named after Abay Vorobyeva Yuliana.
