In February, in Almaty, a celebration took place at the State Republican Academic Uyghur Theater of Musical Comedy named after Kuddus Kucamiyarov to honor the 50th anniversary of Gulnara Saitova's creative activity.
Additionally, the 30th anniversary of the ensemble "Ruhsara", founded by Saitova, was celebrated on the same evening.
To congratulate Gulnara Saitova and the "Ruhsara" ensemble, colleagues from various prestigious institutions attended, including the State Academic Dance Theater, Republican State Academic Korean Theater of Kazakhstan, State Dance Ensemble "Saltanat", KazNAI named after Zhurgenov, KazNTOB named after Abai, Astana Ballet Theater, Tadzhnis Ensemble, Samruk Contemporary Dance Theater, as well as students, pupils, and other colleagues of the artist.
Mukaram Abubakhriyeva, a Honored Worker of Kazakhstan, shared, “I came here today to congratulate my teacher – since I was four years old, I have been learning from Gulnara Yusupovna, and no matter what heights I have reached today, I owe it all to my teacher.”
Gulnara Saitova is a teacher at the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography, Honored Artist of the Republic of Kazakhstan, choreographer, educator, director, and a dedicated professional who has devoted her career to the development of Uyghur dance and Eastern folk dance. She is a Candidate of Arts and Professor, named Best Teacher of the CIS (2022), and is the founder of the "Ruhsara" ensemble.
The "Ruhsara" ensemble, founded in 1993, is the only professional Uyghur dance ensemble in the country. Over three decades, the ensemble has created a rich gallery of magnificent dance works and achieved great success, winning numerous international competitions and festivals. Their vibrant concert programs, such as "Silk Road", "Awakening 1000 Caves", "Call of the Surna", "Magical World of Dance", "Wind of the Native Land", "Dance is My Life", and many others, have won the love of audiences.
