Academy Doctoral Student Serves as Choreographer for Bülbüloğlu’s Musical Performance in Baku

The premiere of the musical play Nəğməmə inan (Believe in My Song) by People's Artist of the Azerbaijani SSR and renowned composer Polad Bülbüloğlu was successfully held at the Azerbaijan State Academic Musical Theater. Prominent Azerbaijani artists, including a director, designer, conductor, choir, orchestra, and ballet performers, took part in the production. The role of choreographer was entrusted to Nigar Shahmuradova, a doctoral student at the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography and Honored Artist of Azerbaijan.

The musical comedy, written by Polad Bülbüloğlu based on a play by Mikhail Shcherbanchenko, is filled with brilliant music and original humor. This marks the first time the play has been staged in Azerbaijan, as a tribute to the composer’s birthday.

Following the performance, Polad Bülbüloğlu himself took the stage, delivering a special performance accompanied by the theater’s symphony orchestra, to resounding applause from the audience.
