Debates on “Academic Integrity as a Component of Anti-Corruption Culture” Held at the Academy

On December 2, 2025, the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography hosted debates on the topic “Academic Integrity as a Component of Anti-Corruption Culture” as part of the courses “Fundamentals of Law and Anti-Corruption Legislation” and “Fundamentals of Anti-Corruption Activities.”

Second-year students from all educational programs of the Faculties of Choreography and Arts presented their reports, discussing the topic, formulating statements, putting forward arguments, and defending their positions. The debates were also dedicated to the International Anti-Corruption Day on December 9.

Academic integrity is an essential part of anti-corruption culture, as it fosters principles of honesty, trust, and responsibility among students—qualities necessary for resisting corruption in the future. Adhering to academic integrity during the educational process prepares students for ethical behavior in adult life, cultivating rejection of deceit, plagiarism, and other violations that form the basis of corruption.

Following the results of the debates, first place was awarded to the “Duet of Honesty” team from the “Art Management” educational program, consisting of Diana Khusainova and Yerkenaz Kazakbayeva.

Awards were also presented in the following categories:

  • Best Speaker – Inkar Makanova
  • Most Knowledgeable – Diana Khusainova
