Exhibition Dedicated to Abai Day Held at the Library of the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography

In celebration of Abai Kunanbayev’s 180th anniversary and Abai Day, the library of the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography hosted a themed book exhibition.

The exhibition featured Abai’s works in Kazakh and Russian, research publications, philosophical writings, and rare editions. Particular attention was paid to his “Words of Edification” and poetic legacy, reflecting the depth of his thought and cultural influence.

Abai Kunanbayev (1845–1904) is a prominent Kazakh poet, educator, and philosopher — the founder of Kazakh written literature. His timeless ideas on education, morality, and culture continue to inspire generations.

The event aimed to deepen students’ understanding of Abai’s legacy and emphasize his role in the cultural and intellectual life of Kazakhstan.
