Festive Concert Held at the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography for International Women’s Day

On March 6, 2026, a festive concert dedicated to International Women’s Day – March 8 – took place at the Training Theater of the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography. The ceremonial event served as a warm and creative tribute to the Academy’s female faculty, staff, and students.

The concert program was organized by the male representatives of the Academy and combined various genres of performing arts, including choreography, instrumental music, and vocal performances. The hosts of the evening emphasized the special role of women in the life of the Academy – as inspirers, mentors, and keepers of professional traditions.

The program featured artistic performances in diverse styles. Students performed the male Kazakh dance “Asan men Üsen,” a contemporary choreographic composition, and a vibrant Latin American dance. The musical segment was highlighted by dombra performances of the piece “Erke Sylqym” and a piano performance by Academy lecturer Evgeny Balakshin.

A special festive touch was added by the youngest participants – primary school students – who prepared congratulatory poems for the women of the Academy.

The concert concluded with a musical tribute from the male members of the ensemble. During the final performance, the artists took the stage with flowers, expressing words of gratitude and appreciation to all women of the Academy for their professionalism, wisdom, support, and inspiration.
