Forty-three unique stage costumes were presented to the Academy by a Japanese atelier

From 7 to 12 October 2024 the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography was visited by Katsue Yoshino, director of the world famous Japanese atelier Atelier Yoshino. The guest met with the rector of the Academy and donated forty-three stage costumes for the Academy's students.

This is not the first donation from Atelier Yoshino — for example, previously colleagues from The Hungarian Dance University have received costumes free of charge.

Since its establishment in 1997, Atelier Yoshino has been patronised by schools and companies throughout Japan, offering highly artistic stage costumes. The company's priorities focus not only on functional but also on creative products designed to inspire dancers and audiences alike.

Atelier Yoshino's creations are not limited to classical tutus: there are also more comprehensive ballet costumes, outfits for opera and operetta performers, and gospel costumes. We are very grateful to Atelier Yoshino and wish them continued success!
