From December 1 to 5, 2025, as part of the Erasmus KA 171 – International Credit Mobility program, the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography welcomed with a working visit the Vice-Rector for Scientific Activities of the Academy of Music, Dance, and Fine Arts named after Prof. Asen Diamandiev, Professor, Dr. Anton Andonov, as well as his assistant, Dr. Vitaly Emelianenkov (Plovdiv, Bulgaria).
The purpose of the visit by the guests from Bulgaria is to conduct practical classes and lectures for the Academy’s students, as well as to exchange experience with the Academy’s faculty.
Professor Anton Andonov’s academic activities include practical classes on the following topics: “Style and Characteristics of Dances from the Ethnographic Regions of Thrace, Pirin, and Shopluk” and “Style and Characteristics of Dances from Northern Bulgaria and Dobrudzha.”
Assistant Professor Vitaly Emelianenkov’s academic activities include lectures on the topics: “History of World Choreographic Art” and “History of Bulgarian Ballet.”
The visit of both guests also includes observing the educational process at the Academy (attending classes taught by Academy instructors within the bachelor’s degree programs, as well as discussing teaching methods, curricula, practical assignments, and other aspects of the educational process with colleagues).
During the visit, the guests will also enjoy a cultural program, including visits to the “Astana Ballet” and “Astana Opera” theaters, as well as to the National Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
