On March 4, 2026, the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography and the National Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan signed a Memorandum of Cooperation and Mutual Understanding aimed at developing partnership in the fields of culture, art, and education.
The official ceremony took place in the museum’s Scientific Library. The museum’s director, Berik Abdygaliuly, delivered a welcoming speech, emphasizing the importance of uniting the efforts of the country’s leading cultural and educational institutions. The Academy Rector Bibigul Nusipzhanova highlighted the significance of integrating science, choreographic art, and the museum space in training a new generation of professionals.
The memorandum provides for a wide range of joint activities, including inviting representatives of both parties to deliver lectures and exchange experience; implementing educational and research projects; organizing conferences, seminars, symposiums, and round tables; exchanging academic publications and teaching materials; mutual peer review of research papers; arranging internships for master’s and doctoral students; as well as conducting events focused on the spiritual, moral, and patriotic education of youth.
In addition, the parties agreed to jointly organize concert programs, mini-performance showcases, exhibitions, master classes, and creative meetings at the museum venue, as well as to implement research projects involving leading scholars and specialized experts.
The memorandum signing ceremony began with a performance of the choreographic piece “Názík” by the Academy’s students, followed by the official signing of the memorandum, a performance of “Toqym Qaǵar,” a commemorative photo session, and a guided tour of the museum.
The signing of the document marked an important step in strengthening interinstitutional cooperation and will further contribute to creating new opportunities for the development of national art, science, and cultural heritage.
