Kazakh National Academy of Choreography, the first and the only specialized full-cycle educational institution in Central Asia in the field of choreography, announces the start of selection of junior pupils. Selections are being made among children in grades 3-4 throughout Kazakhstan. Screenings will be held until April 24, 2025.

The Kazakh National Academy of Choreography is known for its tradition of training professional ballet dancers, teachers and researchers in the field of choreographic art. The Academy implements multi-level education: from junior high school to bachelor, master and doctoral programs. The educational process includes both in-depth study of classical and contemporary choreography, as well as general secondary and higher education, which allows graduates to successfully build a career in leading theaters and educational institutions around the world.

Talented children are selected to prepare them for professional training in the field of choreography. The Academy's Admissions Committee travels to the regions to conduct in-person screenings. In March the commission will visit Mangystau region (Aktau) from March 12 to 14, Abai region (Semipalatinsk) from March 12 to 15, Atyrau region (Atyrau), Pavlodar region (Pavlodar) and North-Kazakhstan region (Petropavlovsk) from March 17 to 20. In April there are scheduled viewings in Shymkent city (April 1-4), Aktobe region (Aktobe city, April 7-10), Kostanay region (Kostanai city) and Akmola region (Kokshetau city, April 14-17), as well as in West-Kazakhstan region (Uralsk city, April 21-24). There is also an opportunity to take a photo review in online format (for those entering 4th grade - until June 15, for those entering 5th grade - until July 15), which allows to cover as many talented candidates from all corners of our country

Admission to 1-3 classes is realized only for children living in Astana.

Admission to 4-5 classes is realized for children from all regions of Kazakhstan.

Children who have successfully passed the preview will be invited to Astana to participate in the entrance exams, which will be held in June-July 2025. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to study at the Academy and become part of a leading institution in the field of choreography.

Children enrolled in the 4th grade will study in a specialized school in the field of arts with pre-professional training in choreographic art, and those enrolled in the 5th grade will study in the school-college of vocational education in the specialty “Choreographic Art” qualification “Ballet dancer”, the period of study - 7 years 10 months.

According to the rating of educational programs of “Atameken” NPP, employment of graduates of the Academy is 100%, and students of the Academy after graduation join the ranks of the best theaters of Kazakhstan.
