Balzhan Nurbosynova, a doctoral student of the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography, is currently undergoing an international scientific internship in Batumi (Georgia) at the Batumi State University of Arts. Her dissertation topic is "Digital Visual Art of Kazakhstan in the Context of Cultural Communication."
As part of the internship, scientific supervision is provided by Professor Maia Konstantinovna Chichileishvili, a renowned expert in visual culture and digital communication.
During the internship, Nurbosynova B. delivered a presentation titled “Narratives of Kazakhstan’s Digital Visual Art” at the international online conference “Issues of Philology and Dialogue of Cultures in the 21st Century” (section: “Modern Communicative Space”), highlighting key trends and features of Kazakhstani digital art.
An important aspect of the internship involves working with Georgian library collections and studying the local cultural context through visits to key artistic institutions in Batumi and Tbilisi. Among them are the Batumi State Museum of Arts, the Adjara Museum, the National Gallery of Georgia, the Museum of Contemporary Art, the Georgian Museum of Fine Arts, Tbilisi Digital Space, Batumi Digital Space, and others.
This internship offers a valuable opportunity to strengthen international academic collaboration, deepen intercultural dialogue in the field of contemporary art, and enrich research experience.
