Science Week 2025 has started at the Academy!

Today, on April 14, the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography officially opened the Science Week – 2025. The first day began with the plenary session of the International Scientific and Practical Conference "Great Personalities of the Great Steppe", which brought together speakers from 9 countries – Kazakhstan, Indonesia, Turkey, Bulgaria, Georgia, China, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and the USA.

The conference was attended by speakers both in the hall and online from various parts of the world. Among the key topics are the spiritual heritage of folk dance, the contribution of prominent figures to the development of art, women's leadership in science, the artistic culture of the Muslim East and modern pedagogical approaches.

Special attention was paid to the contribution of teachers and staff of the Academy to the development of scientific and educational activities. During the opening ceremony, teachers and staff of the Academy were awarded Certificates of Honor for achievements in science and higher education by the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Sayasat Nurbek.

In the afternoon, section sessions of the conference were held, organized in three parallel formats:

  • Section 1: Choreography, history and cultural heritage;
  • Section 2: Modern technologies, pedagogy and art management;
  • Section 3 (Small tribune of the Academy): Youth Science — student and master's studies.

In total, more than 50 scientific reports prepared by teachers, doctoral students, undergraduates and students of the Academy, as well as researchers from leading universities in Kazakhstan and abroad, were heard. The topics ranged from ethnodesign and digitalization in art to the influence of neural networks on educational practices and identity issues in national choreography.

Science Week continues! There will be contests for the best poster presentation and art project, the international teleconference "Education in Art", discussion sessions at Science Café and the closing ceremony. Follow our news – the most interesting things are yet to come!
