On June 16–17, 2025, at the invitation of the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the President of the People’s Republic of China, Xi Jinping, paid a state visit to the capital.
As part of this important and historic event, students of the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography showcased their artistry. The young performers presented dance pieces combining elements of traditional Chinese folk dance and Kazakh dance, thereby highlighting the close cultural ties between the two nations.
The national dances of both peoples were highly praised by the heads of state and captivated the audience’s attention.
The Chinese delegation expressed keen interest in the movements of Kazakh dance and openly admired the students’ performance. Experienced teachers at the Academy continually refine the students’ skills, fostering their professional growth on the path of choreographic art.
The Kazakh National Academy of Choreography is one of Central Asia’s leading educational institutions, attracting students from across the region and beyond, including China.
Participation in such a large-scale state-level event undoubtedly provides a special impetus for the creative development of these young talents.
