Science Week – 2025 at the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography

The Kazakh National Academy of Choreography will host Science Week 2025 from April 14 to 18, 2025.

As the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, emphasizes, science is a strategically important area of development of our society. In recent years, funding for Russian science has increased 3.5 times, and support for young scientists has significantly intensified. Such measures, in his opinion, make it possible to strengthen the country's scientific potential and ensure sustainable development.

The Academy's Science Week is an annual event aimed at popularizing scientific knowledge, supporting young researchers, and developing interdisciplinary and international scientific cooperation. The Academy has been holding Science Week since 2016, bringing together representatives of the academic and cultural communities of Kazakhstan and foreign countries.

Among the events of the Science Week are plenary and section sessions, contests “The best poster report”, “The Best Art Project”, a meeting at the Science cafe and an international teleconference with the participation of foreign and Kazakhstan students who had experience studying in different countries of Europe and the USA.

The Week of Science-2025 opens on April 14 with the plenary session of the International Scientific and Practical Conference “Uly Dalanyn Uly Tulgalary”, where scientists from various educational institutions will deliver greetings and presentations.:

  • Kazakh National Academy of Choreography (Astana, Kazakhstan),
  • Indonesian Institute of Arts Denpasar (Bali, Indonesia),
  • Akdeniz University (Antalya, Turkey),
  • Sukhumi State University (Tbilisi, Georgia),
  • Academy of Arts of the Republic of Uzbekistan (Tashkent, Uzbekistan),
  • The Technological Transfer Office at the Academy of Music, Dance and Fine Arts named after Prof. Asen Diamandiev (Plovdiv, Bulgaria),
  • The “Mime Orchestra” Theater (Los Angeles, USA),
  • Xinjiang Institute of Arts Dance Academy (Urumqi, China),
  • Kyrgyz National University of Culture and Arts named after B. Beishenalieva (Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan),
  • Tashkent State Pedagogical University named after Nizami (Tashkent, Uzbekistan).

Section sessions will bring together participants from:

  • Academic library with a record library at the Academy of Music, Theater and Fine Arts named after Prof. Asen Diamandiev (Bulgaria),
  • International Educational Corporation (Washington, USA),
  • Kyrgyz National University of Culture and Arts named after B. Beishenalieva,
  • Shakarim University of Semey (Kazakhstan),
  • K. Bayseitov Music College (Taldykorgan, Kazakhstan),

As well as teachers, doctoral students and undergraduates of the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography.

Also on April 14, students from leading universities of Kazakhstan will perform at the Small tribune of the Academy:

  • Kazakh National University of Arts named after K. Bayseitova (Astana),
  • Kurmangazy Kazakh National Conservatory (Almaty),
  • Toraighyrov University (Pavlodar).

On April 15, the “The Best Poster Presentation” contest will be held, in which students and young scientists from various research topics will take part.

On April 16, at 3 p.m., the “The Best Art Project” competition will be held, aimed at developing creativity and competencies in the field of art management.

On April 17, an international teleconference on “Education in Art” is scheduled with the participation of students studying in Russia, Germany, Turkey and Latvia. On the same day, the “Science at the Academy” video contest will be held, where students will present their media projects.

On April 18, as part of the final SCIENCE CAFÉ, a creative meeting “Theater Guide: formation, development, prospects” will be held with Amina Belgibayeva, a graduate of the Academy, author and director of the project of the same name. The day will end with the closing ceremony of the Science Week and the summing up of all events.

The Science Week is organized by the Department of Science, Postgraduate Education and Accreditation of the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography.
