Over 150 participants from different regions of Kazakhstan took part in the fifth anniversary competition. They competed in the nominations "Ensemble", "Solo Performance" and "Ballet Art".

The competition included master classes by leading teachers of Kazakh dance, a documentary film "Kazakh Dance", an exhibition of stage costumes from the personal collection of Honored Artist of the Kazakh SSR, Professor Toygan Izim and a presentation of the Kazakh Dance Laboratory of the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography. The winners of the competition will be announced at a gala concert on March 29 at the Astana Ballet Theater.

Grand Prix - Kazakh National Academy of Choreography (Nur-Sultan)

1st place - Dance Theater "ASD" of the Faculty of Choreography of the Kazakh National Academy of Arts named after T.K. Zhurgenov (Almaty).

2nd place - Dance Ensemble "Gakku" Akmola Regional Philharmonic named after Ukili Ybyraya (Kokshetau)

3rd place - Dance Ensemble "Nur" (Pavlodar).

1st place - Anna Tsoi, Kazakh National Academy of Arts named after T. K. Zhurgenov (Almaty)

2nd place - Korkem Sholoshova, State Academic Philharmonic of Akimat of Nur-Sultan city.

3rd place - Gulnur Kasymbek, Dance Ensemble "Akkerbez" of Zhambyl Regional Philharmonic named after Kenen Azerbayev (Taraz).

3rd place - Akkanat Smagulova, Kazakh National Academy of Choreography (Nur-Sultan)

From March 29-31, 2023 the VI Republican Kazakh Dance Competition named after Shara Zhienkulova was held with the support of the Astana Ballet Theater.

More than 300 performers of Kazakh dance from all regions of the Republic of Kazakhstan took part in the competition: 19 dance ensembles and 16 soloists.
