From 5 to 8 September 2023 on the basis of Samarkand State University named after Sh. Rashidov students of the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography Mukhambetzhanov Sh., Paizakhmetova K., Iklasova A. take part in the VI Asian Student Forum "Uzbekistan-Asia 2023" (hereinafter - the Forum), organized on the initiative of the Association of Asian Universities.

More than 200 representatives from 30 universities of Kazakhstan, Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and China arrived at the Forum, Uzbek press reported.

The main objectives of the Asian Student Forum are to promote the development of youth contacts in the cross-border space of Russia and Asia; to foster a careful attitude to traditional national cultures, their history and current state, as well as to attract young people to the realization of international cultural and humanitarian, educational and outreach projects.

One of the central themes of the forum was the study and preservation of the common cultural and historical heritage of the peoples of Central Asia.

The program of the forum includes an expert session "Education without Borders", where leading scientists of the Scientific and Educational Center of Altaic Studies and Turkology "Big Altai" will address the students. Altai State University, Samarkand State University and other universities-members of the Association.

As the vice-president of the Association of Asian Universities, president of Altai State University Sergey Zemlyukov noted: "The history of the Asian Student Forum was born during the All-Russian Student Forum held on the basis of our university in 2011".
