On April 10, 2023, the Academy hosted the International Scientific and Practical Conference "Great Personalities of the Great Steppe" dedicated to the 125th anniversary of Temirbek Zhurgenov. The conference was attended by scientists, honored art figures of Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and other countries.

At the plenary session of the conference the following speeches were delivered:

• candidate of pedagogical sciences, associate professor of the Kazakh National Academy of Arts named after T.Zhurgenov Sadykova A.E. (Almaty);
• teacher of the State Academy of Choreography Kari-Yakubova E.A. (Tashkent, Uzbekistan);
• candidate of historical sciences, associate professor of the Kazakh Agrotechnical Research University named after S. Seifullin Ensepov B.B. (Astana);
• candidate of historical sciences Abdrasilova Z.S. (Taraz).

In continuation of the conference was held round table "Temirbek Zhurgenov - kazak rukhaniyatyynynynң koshbashbashysy", where the candidate of pedagogical sciences, associate professor of the Kazakh National Academy of Arts named after T. Zhurgenov Sadykova A.E. was shown a documentary film about the life of T. Zhurgenov. The round table ended with discussion and exchange of opinions.
