Science cafe "Choreographers' craft: the way to success"

Last Friday at the regular meeting of science cafe, a master student of the 2nd year Tanbaeva Aigul, presented her report on the topic: "The craft of choreographers: the path to success". The topic was considered in the context of creative activity of the State Dance Theater "Naz" and its founders - choreographers Erkebulan and Kadisha Agimbayev.

The narrative of the speaker reflected the whole difficult path of the theater since its foundation. Thus, the listeners learned unknown facts of the birth of the collective, starting from 1999 and up to now.

It was interesting to learn about all the vicissitudes of the Agimbaev couple, in the difficult conditions of the organization of the first professional team of the capital. The information about not only creative activity, but also ways out of difficult life situations, which led the founders to success, was presented. Also, the peculiarities of the repertoire and productions of the choreographers themselves were noted. It is important that this and much more was told through the prism of Aigul's personal experience of working in this group. All the presented information was supplemented with archival photo and video materials, which made the narration even more fascinating.

By tradition, at the end of the report, there was a dialog between the speaker and the audience. In the process of discussion, the questions of teachers and academy staff were answered.

Thus, by examining the notion of "success" in the choreography profession, this event shed light on the newly discovered facts of the capital's cultural formation in the late 1990s and early 2000s.
