On October 28, 2025, the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography hosted a webinar titled “First Steps Toward Publishing a Research Article in an International Peer-Reviewed Journal.”
The speaker, Ksenia Khamina-Kotish, PhD, is a researcher and educational consultant, and a graduate of the PhD program at the Medical University of Vienna (Austria).
During the webinar, Dr. Khamina-Kotish shared practical recommendations on how early-career researchers can prepare their first research paper for publication in international databases such as Scopus and Web of Science. Participants learned how to select an appropriate journal, meet academic structure and formatting requirements, and avoid common mistakes during the submission process.
The event was attended by faculty members, master’s, and doctoral students of the Academy. The session concluded with an engaging Q&A discussion, where participants explored key issues of academic writing, journal selection in the field of arts and culture, and strategies for building a personal research portfolio.
