During his lifetime Bulat Gazizovich Ayukhanov was called a "living legend" of Kazakhstani ballet. And it is no coincidence.
People's Artist of the Republic of Kazakhstan, laureate of the State Prize of the KazSSR, laureate of the independent Club of patrons of Kazakhstan ("Platinum Tarlan"), holder of the International Socrates Prize in the field of culture and art, professor of art history, academician of the "International Academy of Informatization", Bulat Gazizovich Ayukhanov is a significant figure in the history of the formation of choreographic art not only in Kazakhstan, but also on a global scale.
In 1967, the young teacher and artistic director of the Kazakh State Choreographic School, having gathered together the graduates of the school, created the "Young Ballet of Alma-Ata" (now the State Academic Dance Theater of the Republic of Kazakhstan). And together with the Young Ballet a new generation of artists, teachers, managers came to the world of art, who decades later will pick up pedagogical, ballet master and simply human postulates of the Teacher.
A soulful evening in memory of the outstanding master Bulat Ayukhanov, held in the Academy's training theater, was held by students, pupils and successors of Bulat Gazizovich. In their stirring speeches, they brought up memories associated with different periods of work with this extraordinary man, an excellent teacher and mentor.
