Today in the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography held the opening ceremony of the VI Republican Kazakh Dance Competition named after Shara Zhienkulova.

The competition accepted 34 applications for participation in the dance forum. Among the participants - 19 ensembles and 15 soloists, duets from all regions of Kazakhstan, in the repertoire of which reflected the color of the Kazakh dance of our country.

VI Republican contest of Kazakh dance named after Shara Zhienkulova is held for the second time by the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography. This year the jury includes People's Artist of the Kazakh SSR Talpakova Gulzhan Ilzimkyzy (Chairman of the Jury), People's Artist of the Republic of Azerbaijan Muradova Tarana Huseynkyzy, Honored Worker of the Republic of Kazakhstan Avahri Mukaram, Honored Worker of the Republic of Kazakhstan Esekeev Abdrasul Nazhimedenuly.

In the program of the Competition to the attention of the audience and participants will be presented a presentation of a unique photo album dedicated to Shara Zhienkulova: the book contains rare photos of the great dancer, and QR codes will allow to reproduce video recordings of dances staged at the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography from 2016 to 2022. The program of the VI competition is interesting with master classes by Anvara Sadykova and Almat Shamshiev, lectures by the followers of Sh. Zhienkulova's creativity - famous teachers and scientists K.N. Beisenova and T.O. Izim, exhibition of materials of the previous five competitions of Kazakh dance.

These meetings will take place at the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography. Performances of groups and soloists, Gala Concert of Kazakh dance will be held on the stage of the theater "Astana Ballet".

On the eve of the VI Republican Kazakh Dance Competition named after Shara Zhienkulova, the expectations of the choreographic community are quite understandable: the competition will familiarize the audience with modern repertoire and trends in the development of national dance, new searches of choreographers, will allow to identify bright performers, exchange creative achievements and professional experience.
