We inform you about the All-Russian scientific and practical conference “Pages of Unfading Glory” dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, organized by the North Caucasus State Institute of Arts. The conference will take place on April 23, 2025.

Objectives of the conference: a comprehensive scientific understanding of the contribution of works of art to the victory over fascism in the Great Patriotic War in the context of new methodological approaches, research and interpretations to form an impartial public perception of the contribution of the peoples of the North Caucasus to the victory over Nazi Germany and its allies, searching for new ways, directions and forms of popularizing historical knowledge about the Great Patriotic War, educating the younger generation of citizens and developing intergenerational ties among Russians, intensifying historical and local history work and forming in the younger generation a sense of loyalty to their Fatherland, readiness to fulfill their civic duty to protect the interests of the Motherland.

Issues for discussion: • The Great Patriotic War of 1941–1945: historical memory and modern challenges; • Culture and education during the Great Patriotic War; • The image of the Great Patriotic War in fiction; • The image of the Great Patriotic War in the fine arts, music, cinema, theater; • Contribution of the peoples of the North Caucasus to the cause of Victory; • The role of museums, libraries, archives in the formation of knowledge and ideas about the Great Patriotic War; • Reflections of the events of the war in historical memory and memorial culture; • The problem of distorting the results of the Second World War and the post-war world order.
