From July 16 to 27, 2025, Germany’s Rhine-Ruhr region will transform into a hub of sporting excitement as it hosts the XXXII Summer World University Games. Kazakh athletes are set to compete at this prestigious international event, aiming to bring pride to their nation.
This year, Kazakhstan will be represented by a delegation of 76 athletes competing across 12 sports disciplines. The national team will be supported by 18 coaches and 6 official delegates.
The Universiade will take place across several German cities, including Berlin, Duisburg, Bochum, Essen, Hagen, and Mülheim. Organized by the International University Sports Federation (FISU), this global sports event brings together student-athletes from around the world.
More than 8,500 participants are expected to compete in 18 sports, with 234 sets of medals up for grabs. The competition program includes popular disciplines such as athletics, swimming, rowing, fencing, gymnastics, archery, and taekwondo.
Kazakhstan has been a regular participant in the Summer Universiade since 1993. Over the years, Kazakh student-athletes have repeatedly secured podium finishes, achieving strong results on the international stage.
