ACADEMIC MOBILITY ANNOUNCEMENT

Dear 2nd- and 3rd-year Bachelor’s degree students,

We hereby inform you of the opening of applications for participation in the Academic Mobility Program under bilateral agreements for the Fall semester of the 2026–2027 academic year.

Students may participate in the competition funded by the republican budget (only for citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan studying under the state educational grant) provided they meet the following requirements:

  • completion of at least 60 ECTS credits for Bachelor’s degree students (typically 2nd–3rd year students);
  • GPA of at least 2.8;
  • foreign language proficiency at B2 level;
  • no disciplinary sanctions at the time of document submission.

Students applying for academic mobility at their own expense must meet the following requirements:

  • GPA of at least 2.8;
  • foreign language proficiency at B2 level;
  • no disciplinary sanctions at the time of document submission;
  • no outstanding tuition fee debts to the Academy.

Application deadline: March 20, 2026, at 15:00 (Astana time).

GRADUATING STUDENTS ARE NOT ELIGIBLE FOR CONSIDERATION.

The competition consists of two stages:

Stage I – Document submission

Applicants must submit the following documents to the Academy’s Office:

  • student application form;
  • transcript in three languages (Kazakh, Russian, and English);
  • motivation letter (in Kazakh or Russian);
  • two letters of recommendation:
  • one from the faculty (signed by the academic advisor/curator in Kazakh or Russian; the dean’s signature is mandatory);
  • one from the Department of Educational Work and Social Affairs;
  • document confirming foreign language proficiency (if available): an international language certificate (IELTS – not lower than B2 / 5.5; TOEFL – 46; Duolingo – 95).
  • For higher education institutions with Russian as the language of instruction, an English language certificate is not required. If the host institution has additional language requirements, the requirements of the host institution shall apply. For other languages of instruction, requirements are determined by the host institution;
  • • certificate of family composition (if the applicant has a social status: orphan / from a large family);
  • • copies of awards, certificates, and diplomas related to the chosen field of study, obtained through participation in national or international events (if available).

Stage II – Interview with applicants

The date and time of the interview will be announced additionally.

Consultations regarding the competition are provided by the Department of International Cooperation and Public Relations (offices 473, 474). Information on the results of the selection stage will be posted on the Academy’s website. The final decision on participation in academic mobility remains with the host university.
