Academy Pedagogue Conducts Masterclass in Baku

From January 22 to 26, the Director for Educational Work and Social Development of the Academy of Choreography, Alila Alisheva, conducted a masterclass in the capital of Azerbaijan, Baku.

Alila Alisheva was invited by the Baku Academy of Choreography to conduct the masterclass and present diplomas to students of the Baku Academy of Intermediate Vocational Education.

This is Alila Alisheva's second visit to Azerbaijan; in June of last year, she conducted a series of masterclasses for students and educators and served as the chairperson of the final state certification commission during the graduation exams of the Baku Academy of Choreography.

The Kazakh National Academy of Choreography has been collaborating effectively with the Baku Academy of Choreography for several years. For example, colleagues from Azerbaijan have visited our academy for experience exchange, and a professor from Baku, Lyudmila Hasanova, was a jury member at the Young Choreographers’ Competition organized by the KNAH. Additionally, a number of Azerbaijani students have studied at the Kazakh academy as part of academic mobility, and this academic year, a master's student from the Baku Academy has continued their education in the doctoral program at KNAH.

Alila Alisheva is an Honored Worker of Kazakhstan, a professor at the Department of Pedagogy in the Faculty of Choreography at the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography, and the holder of the "For the Development of Culture and Arts" award from the CIS Inter-Parliamentary Assembly, as well as honorary certificates and letters of gratitude from the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The Baku Academy of Choreography is an educational institution in Azerbaijan known for its high artistic level of teaching, specializing in general, secondary, and higher education programs in choreography. The academy has a century-long history: in 1922, a ballet studio was opened at the Central Club named after Ali Bayramov, which was transformed into a choreographic school a year later, and later became an academy.
