The Academy Signed a Memorandum with the “Academy of Choreography” in Sevastopol

During the Days of Russian Culture in Kazakhstan, a Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation was signed between the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography and the Academy of Choreography of Sevastopol.

The Rector of the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography, Bibigul Nusipzhanova, and the Rector of the Sevastopol Academy, prima ballerina of the Bolshoi Theatre Maria Alexandrova, signed the document during an official ceremony and discussed prospects for further cooperation. The Russian side representative emphasized the historical significance of this partnership for the educational institution of Russia.

The Memorandum is aimed at developing partnership in the fields of culture, art, and education, as well as strengthening mutual understanding between the two organizations.

The cooperation includes the implementation of joint initiatives in choreographic art, such as the development of academic innovations and modern teaching methods, the organization of joint projects, master classes, seminars, festivals, and other cultural and educational events, as well as internship programs for students and faculty to facilitate experience exchange.

The Academy of Choreography of Sevastopol is a federal state budgetary higher education institution established in 2019. It trains ballet dancers, teachers, and specialists in choreographic art, offering secondary professional, higher, and additional education programs.

The main areas of its activity include training personnel for ballet and theatre, developing choreographic teaching methodologies, and implementing creative and educational projects such as concerts, master classes, and festivals. The institution is part of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation and was established within the framework of developing cultural and educational infrastructure.

The signing of the Memorandum became an important step in strengthening cultural and educational ties between Kazakhstan and Russia and laid the foundation for further development of cooperation in the field of choreographic art.
