From 30 to 31 July 2026, the prestigious IBDS Grand Slam International Ballroom Dance Tournament was held in Taiyuan, People's Republic of China, bringing together some of the world's strongest athletes from different countries.

At the competition, Sanzhar Zhanatauov, a student of the Pedagogy of Sport Ballroom Dance educational programme at the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography (coach: D. Makarov, InWite Dance Sport Club), demonstrated an outstanding level of professional training and performance, proudly representing Kazakhstan on the international stage.

Competing in several categories, the athlete achieved remarkable results, winning:

• 2 gold medals;

• 1 silver medal;

• 1 bronze medal in the adult category.

These outstanding achievements are a testament to Sanzhar Zhanatauov's dedication, perseverance, and professional excellence. They also reflect the high quality of specialist training in sport ballroom dance provided by the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography.
