A delegation from the Yoshiko Takagi Ballet School (Tokyo, Japan), consisting of 23 students and 3 instructors, has arrived at the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography. From November 10 to 15, 2025, the guests will participate in the autumn school, which is held annually at the Academy.
In her welcoming speech, the Academy’s rector, Bibigul Nusipzhanova, emphasized the importance of developing cultural cooperation between Kazakhstan and Japan, noting that the visit of students from Japan has become a cherished tradition, fully supported by the Yoshiko Takagi Ballet School. A representative of Atelier Yoshino, as a gesture of friendship and collaboration, presented the Academy with stage costumes specially brought for Kazakh students.
Bibigul Nurgalievna expressed her gratitude for the gifts and for Ms. Yoshie Narisawa’s continued trust in choosing the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography for training her students in the art of ballet. She wished the participants a fulfilling program, inspiration, and vivid impressions during their stay in Kazakhstan.
Yoshiko Takagi Ballet School director Yoshie Narisawa praised the high level of the Kazakh ballet school, calling it one of the strongest and most open to collaboration, emphasizing that the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography rightfully maintains and enhances this reputation.
After exchanging greetings, the guests—who will spend almost a week at the Academy—underwent a safety briefing and toured the Academy’s buildings and museum. Ahead of them are exciting master classes in classical and folk-stage dance from leading Academy instructors, as well as a cultural program.
