The Annual Report Concert of the Academy’s Students Will Take Place on the Stage of “Astana Ballet”

On May 8, 2026, at 19:00, one of the most significant events of the academic year will take place on the stage of the Astana Ballet Theatre – the report concert of the students of the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography for the 2025–2026 academic year.

The Kazakh National Academy of Choreography proudly presents its annual report concert, which offers a unique opportunity for students to demonstrate their creative achievements, professional growth, and the results of their hard work. For the audience, it is a chance to enjoy vibrant performances by young artists.

The concert will consist of two parts and will present a rich and diverse program, including works of classical and contemporary choreography, productions in various styles and directions, as well as pieces by domestic choreographers.

The first part will feature a suite from R. Drigo’s ballet “The Romance of a Rosebud and a Butterfly,” staged by V. Medvedev. The second part will present a concert program combining the best pieces of classical, contemporary, and national choreography prepared throughout the academic year.

Among the performances is the choreographic composition “Аққулар” (“Swans”) set to music by Nurgisa Tlendiev, choreographed by Anvara Sadykova, the chief choreographer of the “Gulder” ensemble, Candidate of Arts, and recipient of the state award “For Distinguished Labor.” The evening will conclude with a vivid scene from A. Khachaturian’s ballet “Gayane,” staged by N. Anisimova.

The report concert is traditionally an important final event reflecting the results of the systematic work of the Academy’s students and teachers. For the audience, it is an opportunity to witness the development of young artists, while for the performers themselves it represents a significant stage in their creative journey and valuable stage practice.
