On May 21, 2026, a festive concert and award ceremony dedicated to the Day of Culture and Art Workers took place on the stage of the Astana Ballet Theatre.

Students of the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography participated in the concert, performing “Grand pas académique” to the music of Léo Delibes with choreography by Oleg Ignatiev. The young performers once again demonstrated a high level of artistic excellence.

One of the key moments of the ceremony for the Academy was the awarding of the departmental badge “Excellent Worker of Culture” by the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Yevgeny Moiseyev, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Choreography. The award was presented by Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Aida Balayeva.

Another award ceremony was also held at the Academy’s educational theatre. Several Academy employees received departmental awards from the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan — the “Certificate of Honor” and “Letter of Appreciation” — for their contribution to the development of education and culture.

Recipients of the “Certificate of Honor”:

• Alma Kassymova — Associate Professor of the Department of Art Studies and Art Management at the Faculty of Arts;
• Ainur Nadirbekova — Teacher of the General Education Disciplines Cycle Commission at the School-College of Professional Education.

Recipients of the “Letter of Appreciation”:

• Anastasia Sokolskaya — Teacher of the Special Disciplines Cycle Commission at the School-College of Professional Education;
• Karashash Makhadilova — Teacher of the General Education Disciplines Cycle Commission at the School-College of Professional Education;
• Albina Bdanova — Teacher of the Accompaniment and Piano Department at the School-College of Professional Education.

In addition, Letters of Appreciation on behalf of the Deputy Akim of Astana, Yeset Baiken, were awarded to Raushan Rashitova, Head of the Dormitory of the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography, and Alemgul Balgabayeva, Head of the Academy’s HR Sector.

Departmental awards are a recognition of professional achievements, many years of dedicated work, and contributions to the development of the education and culture system of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The Kazakh National Academy of Choreography expresses its gratitude to the Head of State, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, and Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Aida Balayeva, for their support in the development of culture, including the art of choreography.
