In November 2025, in honor of the 190th anniversary of the birth of the scholar, educator, and ethnographer Shokan Ualikhanov, an analysis of the work “Bala Shokan” by the well-known writer Sapargali Begalin was held at the library of the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography.

The purpose of the event was to introduce students to Shokan’s personal qualities during his childhood, highlighting his thirst for knowledge, curiosity, and patriotism as an example to follow.

Participants received information about Shokan’s path of development and exchanged opinions about his role in the national science and culture of Kazakhstan.
