The Passau International Centre for Advanced Interdisciplinary Studies (PICAIS) at the University of Passau (Germany) has opened a call for applications for Research-in-Residence Fellowships and funding for academic events.

🗓Application deadline: 15 May 2025

Both programmes are open to international scholars holding a doctoral degree. Applications are accepted for visits and events planned for 2025–2026.

🔹 Research Fellowships

Designed for junior and senior researchers who wish to conduct independent research in Passau for a period of 2 to 6 months. The funding covers accommodation, travel expenses and research-related costs. A host researcher at the University of Passau is required.

🔹 Funding for Academic Events

Supports conferences, workshops, symposia and other academic gatherings to be held in Passau. The main applicant must be a University of Passau staff member; external partners may join as co-organisers. Funding includes travel and accommodation for speakers and organisational expenses.
