On January 27, a presentation of the book "Choreographic Art of Kazakhstan: Traditions and Modernity" took place at the library of the Academy of Choreography. The book is a collective monograph, authored by professors and faculty members of the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography and other creative universities: A. Kulbekova, T. Izim, G. Saitova, G. Zhumaseitova, L. Zhuykova, A. Sadykova, A. Alisheva, K. Aitkalieva, A. Kusanova, S. Bakirova, A. Murzagulova, E. Zhumadyarova, B. Turgunbaeva, A. Samarbaeva, G. Usina, and D. Batyrhanova.
The book was prepared at the Kazakh dance scientific research laboratory of the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography. The book was presented by the head of the laboratory, Honored Artist of the Kazakh SSR, Professor Toygan Izim.
The book addresses issues of the development of ballet art, the creative activities of leading dance companies in the country, the establishment of choreographic pedagogy, and professional choreographic education in Kazakhstan.
