As part of her teaching practice, second-year master’s student in the Art History program, Gulnur Imantai, delivered an original lecture and conducted a hands-on workshop dedicated to the life and work of Claude Monet — one of the founders of Impressionism.
During the lecture, participants learned about the artist’s biography, his artistic explorations, and his contribution to the development of the Impressionist movement in painting.
The practical part of the event took the form of a creative workshop: each participant created their own artwork in the Impressionist style, choosing a subject inspired by their imagination — whether a landscape, still life, or a scene from everyday life.
The event fostered the development of aesthetic taste, artistic thinking, and practical painting skills, while also allowing participants to immerse themselves in the world of art through the lens of Impressionism.
