The “Cranes of the World” project was initiated by Rauan Safaraliev, a second-year student of the “Art Management” educational program, with the active participation of students from the Academy's College of Professional Education, including international students from Japan, who played a key role in its implementation.
Becoming the winner in the nomination “Best Art Project” in the framework of the “Science Week 2025”, this project is based on the heartfelt story of a Japanese girl Sadako Sasaki from the city of Hiroshima. The legend of Sadako, filled with hope and longing for peace, inspired the project participants to create a symbolic artistic statement about kindness, faith and the power of the human spirit.
The project was particularly significant due to the participation of Japanese students, who not only shared the cultural context of this story, but also helped the participants to feel its meaning more deeply. Thanks to their contribution, “Cranes of the World” became not just a creative action, but an act of cultural dialogue and mutual understanding.
The project is being implemented in two stages for students of the Academy:
Each crane in this installation is not just a paper figure, but a symbol of faith in a miracle, perseverance and a person's ability to keep the light inside even in the most difficult circumstances.
